小倉沢小中学校 (ニッチツ鉱山)/ Ogurasawa School, Nitchitu Mine, Japan

The former elementary school opened in 1935. A junior high school was added in 1949 and it became Ogurasawa Elementary & Junior High School. In 1952 the school was entirely destroyed by fire, and the new facility was rebuilt by the end of the same year.

In 1959, during when the mining was at the period of its greatest productivity, the school was also at its peak with 274 students. It gradually declined, in parallel with a decrease of the mine production, and was closed in 1985.

前身となる小学校は1935年に開校し、1949年に中学校が増設されて小倉沢小中学校になりました。1952年に火事で校舎が全焼し、新しい校舎が同年に再築されました。

1959年、鉱山での生産量が最盛期だった頃、小倉沢小中学校も最盛期を迎え、生徒数は最大の274名でした。その後は減少傾向になり、1985年に閉校しました。
