Adolf Bleichert & Co, a cable car manufacturer, was founded in 1874 and moved to this Leipzig-Gholis factory/office in 1881 to expand its space. It was globally renowned company of aerial rope way industry for its state-of-art technology.

During WWII, Nazi used this factory to produce military equipment such as grenade and after its defeat, it was taken over by the Soviet Union. The factory was renamed so many times in its history and even lost its family name "Bleichert" by 1952.

After more than 20 years since its closure in 1991, the renovation work started in 2015, for apartment, office and parking space.

ケーブルカー製造会社であるアドルフ・ブリイチャート社は1874年に設立され、事業拡大のため1881年にこのライプツィヒ・ゴーリス工場/事務所へ移転。同社は最先端技術を持ち世界的に著名な索道メーカーでした。

第二次世界大戦時には、ナチスが手りゅう弾などの軍需品を製造するために本工場を利用し、ナチス敗戦後にはソ連に使用されました。この廃工場は過去何度も名前が変えられ、1952年には創業者の名字"ブリイチャート"さえ無くなってしまいました。

1991年に閉業し、その後20年以上にわたり廃墟として放置されていましたが、2015年にアパート・事務所・駐車場への改修作業が始められました。
